Jacqueline Bisset is brilliant as Rose, a legendary actress, trying to revive her career. Lauren is a promising filmmaker. Over the course of their many encounters, a deep friendship evolves as the love of a heart, understanding of grief, and faith in life guide them through personal and creative transformations. As Rose herself comes more into focus, her rich descriptions of art, music, food and travel became windows into a complicated past and unresolved present. This is a wonderful film, exquisitely scripted and filmed, but most of all the perfect setting for a splendid, gorgeous star. Kelly Blatz co-stars.
