gay chorus deep south
A film by David Charles Rodrigues
The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus embarks on a tour through the deep South (Mississippi to Tennessee through the Carolinas and over the bridge in Selma). The reason for their tour is to bring love and connection to groups and places that have despised them — particularly deep South churches. The story is not just the men's. Many many women and lots of families are interviewed and featured. There is great music! And a message of reaching out and connecting with the "other side" - with those you disagree with - through music, humanity, and old-fashioned LOVE, not a bad message in these days of terrible divisiveness. This is a totally uplifting film.
